I am not a huge fan of contemporary music. I mean, really, aside from a couple songs, has any good music been written since the war? (And by that, I mean WW2.) Well, I know a few people who read my little bloggie are big music fans (Hi, Matt! Hi, Dan!) so I want to direct them to a really great story I heard this a.m. on NPR. It's about efforts to help Detroit create some kind of center to honor the great music that came from there through the years.
